  12. I have an Amiga 500 with Supra one meg trap door expansion. It also has a
  13. GVP A530 with a 40 mHz 030 (EC) 2 megs of RAM and a 120 meg hard drive
  14. (SCSI).

  16. It also has an external disk drive, 2.0 ROM, 2.04 system software.

  18. The monitor is a 1084.

  29. Here's the story. I'll try and keep it short.

  31. I purchased this to play with for a short time and sell it again. I am a
  32. Mac user and have always liked the Amiga. This was my chance to play with a
  33. usable Amiga, to see if I liked it as much as my Mac.

  35. I brought it home, hooked it up and played with it for about 10 minutes. My
  36. 12 year old son then took over. To make a long story shorter....The
  37. expansion box has a fan (I didn't know that). Imagine my surprise when the
  38. fan suddenly came on....Wow, a fan that turns on and off based on heat.
  39. Imagine my surprise when the computer locked up.:-(

  41. Anyway, thanks to you guys (generic term ;-), sex is not an issue) on the
  42. internet I was able to find GVP service. Duc faxed me that it will cost
  43. $150 to get repaired.

  45. I will either send it in and get repaired or sell it to someone and they
  46. can send it in.

  48. The reason that I'm not sure if I want to send it in is.....well when I
  49. played with it for those 10 minutes it was fast. It made my Mac IIci feel
  50. like a rock. If I get it back fixed, I'm going top want to try it out and
  51. well...a...I really didn't intend on keeping it. It's just soooo fast
  52. compared to....

  60. If someone buys it as is they will have to pay the shipping to Duc. The
  61. $150 cost to repair includes return postage. Repairs include a 30 day
  62. guarantee.
